Aloe has been used and credited with helping in
the treatment of other conditions, which run the
gamut of medical problems.
What does an aloe plant look like?
Basically, it looks like a cactus plant even thought
it is a member of the lily family. It's the gel
found inside the leaves of the aloe plant that is
used in most aloe based products.
A very common place in which aloe vera gel is used
is in topical creams and skin moisturizes.
As mentioned, it is also commonly used to heal
cuts, burns, itching due to a variety of conditions,
and is effective in treating psoriasis and shingles.
Aloe has certain anti-inflammatory properties that
help alleviate pain associated with these skin conditions
by anesthetizing the affected skin tissue.
